In 2008, will.i.am came up with the idea to do a short video called "Yes We Can" (http://yeswecan.dipdive.com/) based on Barack Obama's popular campaign slogan and New Hampshire speech. Dipdive, while still under early development, seemed like a natural place to launch this viral video but we were months away from our projected launch date.

Fate however cannot be denied.

Instead of just launching the video on YouTube, we created an interim site and posted the video. Now 26M+ views later (and still growing) it has proven to be a significant factor in changing the direction of the 2008 U.S. presidential election.  It has also provided the thrill of being recognized with widespread praise and a number of awards including an Emmy, a Webby for will.i.am as Artist of the Year, a Global Media Award, and 2 NAACP Image Awards, so far.

Politics isn’t the end of the road however. There is still more to come.

We call Dipdive a Lifestyle Engine for Music, Arts, Action & More.  In addition to flagship artists, such as the Black Eyed Peas, Dipdive is home to variety of creative content and social causes.

As a new media network, Dipdive will redefine artist/fan and content owner/consumer relationships through interactive on and offline connectivity.  As a Lifestyle Engine, Dipdive will set the tone, taking the lead and establishing what others will follow.
