The mirror reflection highlights the features of her beauty

She turns away and criticizes the flaws no-one else can see

Everyone tells her she’s beautiful, a precious existence

Words of assurance slowly become echoes in the distance

Her own enemy, she is a lone solider in this war

She wants to be the girl that all men adore

Perhaps a little taller, prettier or thinner

These changes will finally make her feel like a winner

Her wish is to grace a catwalk or magazine cover

Perhaps a new of world of confidence to discover

She’ll always wonder what it’s like to be the centre of attention

But she knows she can be herself and challenge society’s convention

She becomes a soul-searcher seeking the beauty everyone saw from the start

From her pretty eyes to her smile, most of all she knows she has a big heart
