(Humor) Now that he's President, "You People" want to claim his white half.

A funny thing happened on the road to the White House.  For nearly 2 years Barack Obama had been running as the potential first black President of the United States.  On November 4, 2008, it became a reality.  Black people (and liberal guilty whites) across the country rejoiced.

Our country's first black President.

But another funny thing has happened in the past few weeks.

When I speak with my white friends, and mention that we now have a black President, they quickly insert a bit of dialouge which I find quite amusing.

"He's only half black."

To me this is akin to piling on.  Seeking a measure of validation, anywhere that one can.  In their minds he was black (as most black's are considered with significant amounts of strains of other ethnicities coursing through their veins) until he achieved the highest office in the land.  Now all of a sudden, he's half-white.  Nevermind our country's historical unwillingness to acknowlege the millions of other mixed race individuals' half, or quarter, or one eighth whiteness.

White people.  You already stole from us Rock N Roll (Elvis), Rap (Eminmen) and The Jefferson's too.  Do you have to try and take Obama from us as well?

Come on man.   That's just what "You People" always do.
