Memories

Written by Erica-Saya on May 22, 2010

The light in your eyes were so bright

Lighting the way around you.

They shine like the stars above,

above in the night sky.

A precious gift, so delicate.

When you sit there in the corner, eyes closed

and tears running down your cheeks.

Like rain water traveling down the windows.

You loss something so valuable.

It's so painful to sit and watch,

and have nothing to say.

Every year of your life,

we watch you grow up to a beautiful girl.

A girl who can be whatever she wanted.

Everyday was like a new day.

Happiness is never gone.

Watching you every moment,

Hazel eyes sparkling in the sunlight,

all so pretty.

So strong and active, you never had anything wrong with you,

but those every now and then colds.

But you had a secret,

A secret that was kept from us for so many years.

Your secret that you told us before the end.

The memories are all to agonizing.

Your years were falling down,

coming so close to the end.

Everyday you began to get weaker and weaker.

Your happiness began to waste away.

Your dazzling eyes begin to fade away.

We watch, we cried, all together we grieved away your years.

As you lay in that bed,

the bed which is not at home,

you weep your tears,

covering the hazelness color.

You lay there weak and troubled.

Two days left

and you are the only to know that.

Your final hours are here.

We stand here grieving, crying.

I stand by your side,

holding your hand and hurting.

Praying for you not to let leave.

Crying away, murming words which cannot be heard.

You squeeze my hand, holding it tighter

I whispered to you,

"Be Strong, don't give up, don't leave me"

Minutes passed by, then hours.

Only seconds are left for us

You still hold my hand so tightly.

You tell everyone you are tired

and wanted to take a nap.

You look at us one last time,

eyes dull without the life it had before,

and closed them all so slowly.

Your hand, all so cold,

dropped from mine.

The room all so quiet.

Weeping began again, and never stopped.

Our final words in the room will always be remember.

Remembering is so excruciating

We know you are watching us from above, eyes ever so radiant.

To be continued.....
