Dear Will,

I am a Brazilian-American currently living here in Brazil and I am moved by your awesome act of generosity, which I just saw on the Oprah Show. I am a fan of your group BEP, also a fan of your creativity and courage; now, another fan of your foundation. I know how hard it is to have a dream and feel like it will only be a dream. I am fortunate to have had a great college education and even with that it seems that here where I am living, you constantly have to struggle to prove your self and be persistent to try to get a chance. I want to help out on this cause. At the moment, I unable to donate funds because as a single mother, I am kind of struggling to get my life back on track after some turmoil. Yet I have other skill sets that may be used as I wish to contribute with this idea through my work. I speak 5 languages and my academic and professional background is quite broad.

I pray to have motivation and strength to raise my son and provide a dignified life. He will face his share of prejudice and emotional insecurities, being a “mulato” and “fatherless” in this society. I want to make sure I set out good examples for him to follow and be worthy as well. That is one of the reasons I want to be engaged in your project.
