Let The Music Set You Free

A very wise doll (love you Ashley) once said Let The Music Set You Free ....Music has always been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. My Parents divorced when i was 5 or 6 and each of their houses made my musical history very eclectic......... Mums house was The smiths,Prince,Luther Vandross,Alexander O'Neal,The bangles,Aretha Franklin,Al green,Marvin Gaye .........Dads house was Dire straits,Rod Stewart,Elton John,Julia fordham,Queen,the four tops ,temptations,drifters.

Growing up I went down the usual teen heart throb path of Jason Donovan,new kids on the block,take that,backstreet boys and nsync. That was the music to make me feel like I was a normal teenage girl

BUT I WASN'T ...and this is where the music set me free...around 13 I started to write song lyrics and poetry, it was my escape from everything going on around me and the past that I had hidden so deep in my mind, music helped me escape from that. Music began to be my healer,my confident,my escape,my only true friend.

And still today i find solace in music...no matter what emotion I have music is there to accompany me, to guide me through any ups or downs.
