ARTE: Roy Lichtenstein 'Bing Bang Boom!%&?' Gagosian Edition
Written by MJP on November 21, 2009
A few weeks ago I read an article on Artinfo.com about a certain Lichtenstein painting valued at over $15 million. The story was written to determine who the real owner of the piece was. It had surfaced in an auction at Sotheby's and didn't sale, then it resurfaced in Paris and it says the owner is American Gallery owner and Art dealer Larry Gagosian. This 'newly acquired ownership' of the 1963 'Half Face with Collar' painting has many wondering in the art world how did he get this? A rep from Gagosian said that he does own it and it is for sale. Not surprising to me if he did 'make a deal' with Sotheby's in buying the piece under value as Larry is none for his very hard ball business tactics in getting what he wants and when he wants it.
Peep the article for the full story.

This song works well with Roy's stuff, my favorite song by Fastball 'The Way'
