Before I begin, let me first forward you a link so you can better understand this thing that we at Niente Peaches call Charlie Christ: http://www.nientepeaches.com/2009/08/16/charlie-christ-what-is-it/
Charlie Christ is running amok across the USA! We have just returned from a shoot down in New Orleans and I’m proud to say that Charlie Christ has officially gone Cajun! We shot two sequences for the film with a little help from our UConn friends, NOLA natives and the NRN (National Relief Network).
Wendell Meggs (Musician/Performance Artist)
The first one to thank is Niente Peach’s newest friend Wendell Meggs. We met him performing on the sidewalk in front of the Mississippi and he was kind enough to cameo in Charlie Christ for a short sequence. I won’t tell you what he did for us though. For that, you need to see Charlie Christ and the only way to find out when it’s released is to become a fan, follow us, subscribe or simply badger us! We love it all because it’s a way for you to show us your love! Pick your poison:
I’d also like to thank Michail Borisv, Dan Ratner and Jackie Martone for participating in Charlie Christ. All three of you did a fantastic job!
Finally, I’d like to thank the NRN, the organization we worked with; for their efforts in rebuilding the wet lands in Louisiana. This past week the NRN successfully planted 4,000 tress along the levees. This number was added to the already 80,000 that have been recently planted. This campaign’s focus is on rebuilding the environment that had been tampered with over the decades; an environment that had served as a natural barrier for centuries. Thanks to the NRN and others, this natural barrier will one day be restored to help protect Louisiana from future devastation by hurricanes.
We at Niente Peaches salute the NRN for their work and dedication. The same goes for the Make it Right organization. Their goal is to rebuild and restore the Lower 9th Ward and from witnessing the results first hand, we can say that they are really making a difference.
New Orleans still needs our help. Just because the media has stopped paying attention doesn’t mean that we should move on and treat it like a flavor of the month. We at Niente Peaches encourage you to follow the links below and participate in any way that you can.
