Internet providers

Alrightas most people can tell I've been very inactive for some time here. so let me give you all a quick update on what I've been up to since last time before I go off into my rant.

Well let's see starting from the finals I posted about.... I had to drop out of college because they wouldn't let me continue without the money to pay them for sitting in the class roms, oh joy me and I was actually haveing FUN! From there life continued to show me how bad it is out here by my inability to find a job. Joy me once again. I swear business owners hire the dumbest people I'll get more into this during the rant.... Well so while My year is continuing to move forward things start to look up I'm able to help out donate blood for the red cross like I enjoy doing.  Life goes and and things look good then Thanksgiving happens and my adopted aunt passes away in a car wreak..... a real touchy subject still. Anyways from there I stay at her house while the family is out of state taking care of business. Then the Christmas season comes into play and it's drama and more drama due to my sibling getting married and being stupid but again not my place to inform the world of certian brainless activity. So here we are the new year I'm another year older and still looking for work with my tuition bills and school loans about to jump out and say 'pay me' in a few months.

Alright everyone so here it is the first rant of 2010! I normally am a relaxed person when it comes to things like major corperate companies because they have branches spread throughout the nation. Okay I understand this but this certian company I had was so stupidwhen it came to the way they handled the situations for tech support it was rediculas! So a few months back I called up this company for some dsl service because all I used to have was dial up in my location. I got them on the phone and ordered the service starting at the three month low price like most companies do. So the months go along until the last week of December of 09. So I call them up to find out the problem they tel me it's my phone line from the box at the property so I call my phone provider and get them out here to check the line. The line was perfectly fine, so again I call the net provider and they claim to fix the problem. The problem continues for three weeks with the same excuse that it's my phone line, and they continue to spoon feed me that line until th third week of January of 09. Finally I get them back on the line with someone to cancel the service. They tell me that I signed a year term contract with them and now they are trying to hit me with a 149 dollar early termination fee which I NEVER agreed to. So I kindly ask them to waive the fee being that my service hadn't woked for the past month that I PAID for and they want me to jump through hoops, ok fine if it gets me from paying the early fee without problems then I'll jump. SO there I go jumping from one person to another with the promise that it'l be monitored and that I need to get ahold of that one guy again with his employee I.D. SO as I'm told by one of the company tech's it isn't my fault and that they can waive the fee I request to be put back on with the supervisor that I had spoken with. They transfer me to a different location and give me a supervisoer that wants me to jump through hoops AGAIN, I'm a bit annoyed but fine what ever I'm the customer so I tell the supervisor that I want a three way conversation with the tech this time so there isn't any mix up. I'm told that my line is perfectly fine and that the company doesn't understand WHY my service isn't working. SO again at this point I say I want to cancel my service without said termination fee.  AGAIN he tries to tell me they can't because I agreed to this stupid contract that I never signed or nothing. so I ask him to produce a copy of said contract and mail it to me and he said that it was on the software disk for the company.  Here's the interesting part. DSL doesn't need SOFTWARE to work or at least not for this company so I never even installed it. Yes I know what you're thinking thats why my internet didn't work right, well sorry but thats not the case. It worked perfectly fine for three months without it but once the bill was going to go up the service went to hell in a handbasket. so I NEVER agreed to any license agreement by installing the software for the company and I shouldn't have to pay said early termination fee because I never installed said software with said contract in it!

SO I have a NEW provider where I got EXACTLY what I wanted and guess what they told me about their contract right up front! You should have to pay a cent when a company demeans you just because you have a question about why your service isn't working. I KNOW my computers I'vebeen working on them since I was 15 years old I KNOW how they work but when something new comes along and you don't know you should have understanding people that will work with you and not treat you like you're some bimbo without a brain! and that is the basic concept that i'm incorperating with the image on how companies can be STUPID!
