Messages in the Sky

Messages in the Sky by Sue Shields, 12/2008
Sunset, sunset, never the same
Always beautiful, gold or grey
Resolve your issues for a better day
Learn the messages in the sky
Paint your day, soothe your way
No matter what truth may display
It comes to an end, transcend
nightfall, dusk, evening, twilight
Ebb and flow, spilling what you know
The canvas is infinite
The day is - finite.
Teaching you to grow a better flight
Fight the bad with all your might
No picture more telling than an ocean view
Sun cascading from the sky
Look closely- representing what you knew
Colors, hues, brush strokes collide, joining with
Clouds, mountains, water and sky
Use this as a tool to learn why
reflection, deflection, grasp,
receive, prepare, and soothsay
Resolve the problems of your day
Build the joys, seek out more
Follow this message to help you soar
Sunset, sunset, never the same
Always beautiful, gold or grey
Resolving issues for a better day
Blues, golds, purples, hues
Rainbows dancing, birds in view
Smokey grays, dark and dusty
Mixing news to ocean views
Stirring well a blackened soup
Nighttime ends, renews tomorrow
Learning to temper your fears and sorrow
Hear what I say:
Learn the messages in the sky
Sweep your paintbrush, weave your views
Merge life’s magic with it’s tragic
Be the soothsayer of good news
Sunset, sunset, never the same
Always beautiful, gold or grey
Resolve your issues for a better day
