Solitude

You can be surrounded by people. You can have an untold amount of friends, you could have the most wonderful caring family in the world. But you can still be alone. I'm sitting by the pool surrounded by a good couple a hundread happy holiday makers. I realise yet that there are no odd ones out. The fat ones, the skinny ones, the complete weirdo's. Not one of them is alone. apart from the odd grandad on his deckchair. No on e cares what they look like they have accepted thereselves for who they are. you are the only person who chooses to be in solitude. Not one of these people are normal. There isn't a normal. They are happy with who they are maybe its time I was happy with myself. I'm not normal I'm as much of a freak as the next person.
It's time to step out of this solitude.

You can be surrounded by more friends and family than you can count and still feel alone, but also be in solitude and be content, and feel warmth around you. I think everyone can feel both these ways from time to time depending on what is going on in our lives. But the reality is we are never truely alone. Those granddads might be on holiday alone but I bet they don’t feel lonely. My gran used to go on holiday alone but to family hotels so she could be surrounded by people and watch the kids playing. I think that kept her feeling younger than being surrounded by other 80 yr olds who spent the whole day asleep, lol. But my point is yes we are individuals with our own paths in life but we shouldn’t forget there in company and a helping hand there when we need it. And who isn’t a freak? We are unique in our own special ways, and that’s exactly what makes life exciting and worth getting out there and living it!
