I think it's very important to set goals in life. Because time goes faster the older you get. Watch David Letterman, he was on when I was in college the first time and I graduated in 1982! Also the Rolling Stones performed around that time outside Chicago and my friend shot black and white (all us photogs hung out together) and made awesome 11 x 14 prints in the darkroom AND I DIDN'T GET ANY! because who knew they would live this long? and paul mccartney looks really old. but i don't feel any differerent from when i was 22. it's weird. anyhoo, set goals and write them down because if you wake up on your 30th or 40th or 50th birthday and you have not accomplished anything, you will feel BAD. even something simple as visiting all 50 states or every beach in the hemisphere. hey, that is my goal! get your own. so far i have the bahamas, hawaii, myrtle beach, s.c., south padre island, texas, monterey/carmel, calif. (cold!), san diego and fort myers beach and fort lauderdale, fla. and tampa bay fla. might be others i forget.
there is no substitute in life for travel. imax does not count. neither do videos, national geographic, books, the travel channel. please. you have to get there. the trip is half the experience. hopefully you will survive it. if not, o well! better than dying in your bed bored.
that is all i have to write tonight. don't forget, write your goals down right now, they will work in the back of your mind and they will be reached!

oops i forgot. why do people gather to watch the sunrise and the sunset? it's so primitive. i have observed this at various beaches and also the grand canyon. also human beings are fascinated by the moon. i would pay ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY to walk on the moon. there. i have a new goal and it's written down. it will happen.

one more thing. when the lakers game was ending and they were about to win the championship, they played will doing i got a feeling, that tonight's gonna be a good night, that tonight's gonna be a good good night. AND I GOT CHILLS. luckily they won, can you imagine if they had lost someone would have been in big trouble! it was certainly a good good night. i need to write the next NBA finals song, i am writing this down so it will come to me when i least expect it. good night america!
