Raleigh NC Concert

So excited!  A Friday night show with Boom Boom Pow VIP!  I maxed out my credit card and had a great time planning my outfits, which I must admit, quite hot.  We left VA in plenty of time foe me to get to the hotel and relax with a drink, get dressed, enjoy the time of 4:20 ( b/c the pre-part started at 4:30, ya see ; )  We had car trouble and got to the hotel at 4:30!  VIP registration closed at 5:30!  So much for relaxing, trying to put on eyelashes really, really fast, just does't work!

We got to VIP in time, met Molly and Darla (i think) really nice chicks, our hosts.  The pre party was fun, met some cool peeps, had some drinks, danced a lot!  Poet Named Life was so CUTE and fun. They took our pix in front of a BEP backdrop all red carpet like.  Towards the END, Taboo and Apl D. came in on segways and jumped behind booth with Poet.  They sang and shook hands from behind the booth.  Pascal keep yelling at us to get back.  They hung out 10 minutes total and booked.  I was kind of bummed about that, I was hoping to get a pic with them.

Our back stage tour started, I think it was late.  Molly started of off down one hall then she got told to not let us go down that hall, it was dressing rooms I think. So they took us out to the arena floor and told us interesting tour facts.  More like a front stage tour.  She then took us behind the stage to see equipment, then the costume room, most costumes were in the dressing rooms already, not much to see.  We talked to some crew guys, they said they were JJ and Marco.  Marco and I started talking about dimples (he has them) as he explained they are actually a facial deformity. He was pretty neat! So then they cut us loose right as LMAFO was coming on.

We actually went to the bar and hung outside meeting people during the opening acts.  The BEP show was so fantastic!  We had front row seats right at the left side catwalk. When they were on that catwork, they were RIGHT THERE, so close!  I sang, danced, screamed, just had a blast.

When the show ended, we headed across the street to the hotel, so I could change my outfit for THE AFTER PARTY!!!   I was surprised that the party was announced to the whole concert, I just thought it was more exclusive.  Anyway, took a cab to the locale, a bar called Tantra.  Cabbie couldn't find it.  Finally, I had to help, we got there.  The bar had three separate rooms, which on a normal night is okay.  But Will was running the booth in one room with Taboo hanging out.  I am not sure if I actually saw Apl, because the one room probably contained the capacity for the entire bar.  You COULDN"T move, then two guys, irritated by the crushing, started fighting right beside me, so I left the room.  I was pissed.  I ended up standing by the men's room, when  a couple bodguards whisked Taboo into the loo.  I of course waited for him to come out and said, "Hey Taboo! Can I get a picture?"  He stopped and looked right at me as his body guard pushed him on, and Tab hollered "Sorry!" as they whisked him back up to the dj booth.  The room thinned out a bit, so I went back in.  I wanted to dance on the floor to Will spinning the jams!  Right then, my husband, who was just tolerating the evening and drank too much...announced he was going to punch the next person who bumped into him.  So it was time to leave.  C'est la vie.

It was such great show. Feel a bit ripped off on VIP.  I see in MOST of other cities Taboo, Apl and sometimes Will, posed for pix in the "red carpet" area with fans.  I would've liked that at our VIP.
