Speakers will include Jane Goodall, Jonathon Porritt and George Monbiot...
I'm also hoping to use the centre of Oxford to provide a range of supporting cultural activities which will all link to the environment... through art, books, food, music, theatre, comedy and fun... and provide a variety of special family friendly experiences.
I organised the first Oxford Earth Summit in 2002 and more recently organised the Isles of Scilly Earth Summit which featured islanders from around the world talking about their experiences and hopes and fears for the future http://e-day.org.uk/earth.aspx including the marvellous Ursula Rakova from Papua New Guinea http://youtu.be/pHuDrolJ0tk.
I found the shared experiences of the islanders were a great foundation for exploring issues and building empathy for other people and the environment.
It would be great to involve you, if you had time in your busy schedule.
