prince is one of my heroes...
performer, musicians, artist, song writer, composer, inventor, visionary...
i met him like 6 years ago...
i have been listening to his music since i was 14...
i am a fan...
i have performed with him...
i invited michael jackson to come see me perform with prince in vegas...
and MJ actually came as my guest...
what a memory...
prince is a legend...
one of the last greats on the earth...
the 80's gave birth the the greatest artist...
what has the 90's birth?
what will the 2000's birth.?.
i have been thinking about this for a while now...
ive been thinking about music, how its changed...
(the industry)
its all different now....
and its still changing...
me and prince have talked about this for hours and hours...
and the future looks wonderfull for "real" musicians, and performers...
it looks amazing for computer programmers....
it doesnt look that good for record companies and traditional lawyers...
it doesnt look that good for people who cant perform...
because touring is everything now...
its the only thing that matters...
people coming to a place to see a dj, or a artist, musician...
it looks wonderful...
thank you prince for inspiring me...
and thinking of me as a friend...

You're definitely right on the money when you say that an artist need to be a great performer to survive.
I feel like we're in a transistion phase right now where we in a couple of years will have a "reboot" of the music industry.
It honestly wouldn't surprise me if in a not a too distant future most music will be free or at least distributed independently through artists own platforms, and the money will come through publishing for TV and Cinema, Concerts, Donations and things like that.
How great would it be if a person was honest enough to pay for music he/she enjoyed.
It would be like going into a store, for free take a bag of potato chips, and if you enjoy it you afterwards pay for it.
And btw, you're incredibly blessed to have gotten to known both Michael and Prince.

I have been blessed for I was able to see Prince perform several times now; Funky Alabama 1998 (general admission), Jam of the year The Gorge/Portland Rosegarden, 1999 Newmaster MGM Grand Studio 54 Viva Las Vegas . Most cherished at Paisley Park during Prince A Celebration events in Chanhassen and MPLS in 2000 & 2001. And here in Portland Oregon Arlene Snitzer Concert Hall (second row center) & Aftershow for One Night Alone tour in 2002. I thank his guitar guy for one of the fallen guitar picks. But I'd take it all but the Portland show in 2002 Back for just one time to have seen Michael Jackson perform live. I thank God for letting me inside his house that blessed day April 4th 2005 after the MJFC www.mjfanclub..net Many Nations, One Voice Rally. I was not worthy. It tears me apart for I saw daddy's little princess paris holding hands with her prince charming of a father helping him unload promo not for sale boxed ultimate collection cd sets out of some boxes for all of us fans there at Neverland. That bond was a treasure to see. O my heart aches and Anxiety Rains for the rest of my days. My life is an utter and complete failure now. I could not protect my ESCAPE, my love, my hero, my brother, my soul is ripped out. May I DIE to see the Dawn now. My heart no longer beats for this world. The sooner I leave this evil world and country the better. Michelle

One of my Favorite Prince songs is "Free" though.
It means so much. That would be special. That album 1999 and that song touched me so much. All music and Everything changed that fall of 1982! Michelle

WIll, I'd love to hear u and the Black Eyed Peas perform "17 days" or "Return of the Bump Squad" or even "Space" or "Billy Jack Bitch"!!! live someday er something. There's alot of Prince songs I can see you doing....and of course the obvious choice "Erotic City". I think 17 days would be kind of cool though, cause mostly only Prince fans know that song. It was a B-side so would be something you could make a new stamp on. "Let 's Work" would be interesting too!

OK I have an admission William. When I first came over here I was like Prince who? because I had spent like a whole day doing a cram study of your work and I was really excited..... I was really excited to for once in so many years feel that same feeling that I felt when I was fourteen (Prince) that has only grown into being in musical love with that man. Recognizing a talent so similar and capable was immense to me a relief almost, it gets tiring being so enamored with that level of talent on such a constant basis and now I see this prodigy in you and I was just B-L-O-W-N away what a dream it would be to work with you someday and such a beautiful spirit to boost, We are all blessed and as long as musicians do not rely on the amazing technology too much vocoders and hide behind others talents stick to what they do best the future looks fantastic for music and you have already given us a truckload for the 90's and 2000's babe (I liked your stuff b4 fergs tooo). xoxoxox
