Myanmar is one of the poorest nations in South East Asia.
One of the first casualties of an impoverished nation is the children and their education. After reading their website. I am now with stronger beliefs the PIG project can be of help to the Burma children inside Burma. I noticed the organization is doing a similar pig project helpful to THE BURMA CHILDREN.

As comparative My Kids's experienced professionally as below.

Project - Pig Farm. Please read and Help.
MyKids will be setting up a pig farm in Myanmar which should sustain approximately 50 orphans on its completion.
It will be founded on deep litter housing principles which not only decreases the cost of pork production but also provides compostable material for fertilizing grain crops. This then provides a sustainable method of growing and feeding the pigs. Most estimates suggest that a pig farm of around 12 pigs is able to sustain approximately 50 orphans once it is up and running.
MyKids would like to invite you to contribute to the cost of setting up this business. Sending money for the immediate needs of the orphans (like food and education) is very important.
However to give money that can be invested in money making ventures has the ability to provide on going income streams and future possibilities for the orphans.
One of the great things about investing in these sorts of projects is that there is a financial return to the orphans that is sustainable and on going.
One of the challenges in Myanmar is that even though we are able to feed, clothe and school the children, when they finish school there is little opportunity for them. A pig farm can provide ongoing employment opportunities.
The orphanages already have access to nearly 7 acres of land on which crops can be grown for the pig farm. These crops also have the capacity to provide food for the adults and children involved with the orphanages. And of course these activities not only provide income streams for the orphanages but also give agricultural skills which increase opportunities for the future.
The estimated cost of setting up the pig farm , including housing, litter, crop growing, protein supplementation and purchase of a pregnant sow, is approximately $3000 USD. Please click here to contribute to this worthy cause.
Below are some photos of our first completed pig farm!.
