My Experience Of The Black Eyed Peas Concert, October 2nd 2009.

Me and Latara got at the Arena at 4:30pm to join the line and we waited 3 hours till we finally got inside, we ran to the front of the stage and thank God we were at the front! We were on the left against the barricade facing the runway that went down the middle of the arena, as soon as I got there I was just so relieved I had been so nervous about not being at the front for weeks! Then a stupid security guard came up to me and said that I couldn’t hold up my poster because it would start fights or something and that the Bep’s crew had requested it… I hardly listened I just kept trying to make him change his mind but it didn’t work. He took it and put it on the floor under this metal thing so I couldn’t reach it. I was so upset I was about to cry but I just had to forget about it and be happy that i was about to see Bep so soon. I guess I didn’t realize how much I missed them until I saw them for 3 hours then had them pulled away again. The opening act was LMFAO and they were kind of weird, I didn’t really watch them i just stood there all like hurry up and get off stage so Bep can come on... Then once they did and the stage was all set up the lights turned off and 4 green spotlights lit up the stage, Apl stepped out 1st then Taboo, then Fergie and then Will.i.am, at this point I was screaming my head off. They started singing Let’s get it Started and omg I was just sooo happy to see them in person!! Omg Fergie is just so pretttttyyyyyy! I loooooved all the outfits she wore sooo much! Especially these purple shoes that she wore during outta my head! OMG they were awesome lol!! My camera ran out of battery like 20 minutes into the show and the spare batteries I took didn’t work, I was so annoyed! Luckily I used Latara's camera to take as many photos as I could but her camera ran out off battery too so I just kept turning it off and on and took at least one photo for each song. I think my fave performance was Now Generation, I just loved it so much!! When it was getting to the end of the show I just didn’t care about the annoying security anymore I asked the photographer lady to get my poster for me and she did. I held it up during the last 2 songs Boom Boom Pow and I Gotta Feeling. As soon as I did Fergie pointed to me and smiled and waved, omg I was just in shock when she did, she is my idol! Then Taboo pointed and looked at me right in the eyes and sang a few lines of the song when looking at me, I had the hugest smile on my face! Apl also walked past me and smiled, I think he winked but I’m not sure! Then at the very end before they walked off stage Will.i.am stopped walking and looked at me then pointed at my poster and mouthed something like "that right there... wow" I just jumped up and down and screamed and smiled, then Will smiled and looked at me again then walked off stage with the rest of the peas. It was so amazing! Ohh and also at the end of I Gotta Feeling all this red, blue and yellow confetti came from the roof and it looked so cool, I remember taking a photo of it so hopefully the photo turned out good. I really loved the Dj-ing solo that Will did too, he also sang this awesome tune that went, "I love what I do, if you love what you do, say I love what i do" it was such a cute song! The lights went off during it and we all had to shine our phone lights and stuff hehe, I love how the Bep's always include the audience so much in their concerts! Ohh and also some random person threw a toy kangaroo on the stage while Fergie was doing her solo and she said in the more adorable voice "Oooh a present!" Then she kissed the kangaroo on the head and threw it back to the person lol! The same person threw the toy on stage again when Will was there and he made some jokes about it and then gave it to Bobby and I think he kept it. I wish I had enough courage to say something to Bobby and Pascal when they walked past me haha, I just looked at them with this huge smile and they stared back like umm what the hell? Haha i must've creeped them out! It was such an amazing night and I’ll never forget it! :)
