How we got the shot

I don't have access to a studio, so my shoots usually require an unusual setup in small spaces and small budgets. These types of setups have lots of restrictions that need to be dealt with, so I will be outlining the problems I've encountered and how I worked around it.
The Setup
1 Alien Bee AB800 (big black triangle on the top left)
2 580EXs on a tripod
3 Pocket Wizards
1 24" fan
2 sets of doorway beads
1 black table cloth
In this photo, I originally wanted the background light to be outside and lit through the window. But in reality, it just caused a huge glare. So I draped a black table cloth over a background stand and side-lit it with a Canon Speedlite 580EX (triggered via Pocketwizard). The black table cloth reflected too much light, so I flagged the 580EX by adding a piece of gaffers tape to it.
Other than uprooting my bed to make space and pinning my shoulders to the opposing wall, it was clear sailing from that point on :)
The final shot was taken with a 5D w/ 135mm f/2L

| What's Up? |
When I was 5, I could draw people with more detail than anyone else in my class. But when I tried to color them in, I could never stay within the lines. Thats the story of my life.
