I've never felt strongly political or web-social before. But the events of these last few years and the fact that I am now responsible for the life,education and well being of my beautiful boy spurs me to be more involved in my/our  community.

I grew up in a racially diverse yet divided community. Most of my family are fearfully prejudiced and live with a constant inner anger.I count myself lucky to have been influenced by wise outside forces that have molded me into an inclusive, concerned and active community member with an extended family of racially and sexully diverse persons who will help me to (hopefully) raise an enlightened boy to become a man of meaning.
