Magnificent! U2 in Argentina

Written by romi12 on March 31, 2011

It was the morning one day on november when I turned on the tv and I watched the news I had been waiting for, U2 was coming to Argentina.

I managed to get a ticket, something that was really hard, the show was sold out in a couple of hours.

On march 30th I woke up at 6 a.m. and I headed to La Plata at 7 a.m. after an hour travelling, I got to the stadium there was already 1.000 people on the line waiting, some of them had been camping for three days.

I was the number 1.320, we wait outside for 7 hours, at 4 p.m. they opened the doors, as soon as I gave them my ticket I started to run, I think I've never run so fast in my whole life. When I entered into the circle I couldn't believe it, I couldn't breath, but I called my mum, I was so happy that I had to talk to someone.

At 8 p.m. Muse started their show, they were the opening act, but they didn't have much attention, everybody was waiting for U2.

Everybody was there waiting for them, the fans, Greenpeace, Internationa Amnisty, even John Cusak was at the stadium!.

Finally at 9.45 p.m. U2 was on the stage, Even Better Than The Real Thing was the first song, an the audience was totally excited! I lost my voice on the 3º song

The audience sang with Bono every song, and he was so shocked with the audience's reaction that he cried, and asked us how could it be possible that we love them so much, and made them feel like home.

And Bono... he deserves some words, it's amazing to see that a man who is so famous is always worried about what is happening with the world. A huge human being.

The show finished with a song wich was dedicated to Gustavo Cerati, an argentinian singer who is in coma since last year.

The left the stage at 12 p.m. everybody was happy, with a smile looking at each other.

A great show, a great band, but the most importan 4 great human being
