The Heart and Gut....
Written by roofyrox on May 28, 2009
"Follow your heart" is a recurring message on dipdive that I am eternally grateful to hear. I have heard it before, but to keep seeing the phrase is so helpful in everyday life. It's important in , school, work, family, friendships, list goes on and on. Another one I could add to that is "follow your gut instincts." Its another good quote that can be applied to any situation, or decision. The heart and gut, keep our physical being alive, (BIO 101 hehe) but in my opinion are representations of our spiritual selves.
By listening to my gut instincts I can follow my heart to make the right decision for me, be it a little a decision, or as big a decision as to what to do after I graduate in December. The gut instincts and the inner voice, in my opinion is God talking to me. I was in Mass (felt like a long hour and a half. hehe) while in Florida visiting my grandmother, and was trying to decide what to do next year. It was just very quiet, and I had time to think. There are a lot of important decisions, more school, or moving, how to interact with my family, but I was really listening to my inner voice, and decided to brave a few more winters before moving and use the city's opportunities as much as possible and to live near my family. Even though at times, they can be a little much. I felt like I am making the right decision for now. and following my heart. thanks to everyone who has written it on their wall, in blogs, or in comments.

there is no answer to every problem, often the answer is the same problem .... but this you will know only by time..... follow your heart or your instinct are sometimes the same thing and there isn't an easy way ... we are always in front of fork, so, is important close your eyes, take a deep breath and choose the path that may seem the best.... "and if this isn't the right choice"...you'll ask ... Well, if it isn't the right choice you has the ability and time to fix it ... even the wrong choices are important as they help you understand what you want and who you really are .... I wish you all the good possible XOXO

i contradict myself when i think about the "heart or brain" thing. Which one is right?
I guess the right answer comes from your heart. There is a connection between your heart and the soul of the universe. It's hard to explain but instinct is a natural thing. Animals live on instincts and they survive.
We have a brain, but don't usually make good use of it because the heart says to do something else. I, myself, am lost.
But i know for sure that my heart didn't lead me to the wrong path when i chose to listen to it.
I'm happy that you got to know what you wanna do. I think it's one of the hardest decisions we have to make (that of choosing our professional future)
nice blog :)

Every single feeling we get, whether it be physical or emotional, all comes from one part of the body: the brain. The brain is the conduit that centers all feelings, emotions, and allows us to make decisions that we think we are making when we follow our hearts. That is the science behind it, but there is another side that cannot be understood with a pen and paper: the spirit. Many people have different opinions on what the spirit is, but everyone's spirit is different, so there are no right or wrong answers, only what you feel.
Me personolly, I beleive that the spirit is God's tool for him to communicate with us, and where we initionally get our "Gut Feelings" from. It's Gods universal language to all his children.
Is the heart right, or the brain. Should you follow your emotions, or be logical. Sometimes it's hard to make out, but only you know the best answer because God is trying to tell it to you. The real challenge, is blocking out all the noise you hear on the outside (i.e. what OTHER people are telling you to do). Sometimes it's easy to make out, and sometimes its hard. The harder the desicion is to make, the longer you need to think about it.
When it all boils down, you have to make a desicion. Are you going to do what you WANT to do (body), or are you going to do what is NEEDED (Spirit). God tells you what he wants out of you, and you are left with the freedom to make the final verdict.
