you dont know what youve got till its gone!!!!

"You dont know what you have got untill its gone" -- 100% true! this quote has been the biggest realisation for me today.
my cousin passed away today in a car accident. he was 19 years old and definately didnt deserve to have had his life taken away! at this moment in time im completely shocked and it hasnt sunk in yet. everyone in my family as you can imagine is absolutely devastated!
this kinda feeling is new to me, thankfully ive never had anyone close to me pass away before. i feel so helpless watching my devastated mother, auntie and grandma cry uncontrollably knowing that i cant make things better. My 10 year old cousin asked me in tears "can't the doctors bring him back?", i had no idea how to answer that question and explain to her that he wasnt coming back, how does anyone answer that question???
we went to lay flowers where the accident took place, i didnt know some of the people but we were talking as though we had known each other for years! He wasnt perfect, nobody is but what i know for sure is that he was truly loved by everybody....its funny how one person can bring soo many people together as one! (just like kim with BM )
I dont want people's sympathy, the reason why im writing this blog is to let you all know that life is precious and it can be taken from anybody at anytime! Nobody has a perfect life and some of us wish we could improve it but just enjoy what youve got cause it could be gone in a flash.
the last thing my cousin said to me was "i love you" i just wish i could of said goodbye!
i wish we could bring him back but we cant and i have to accept that......i know hes in heaven watching down on us all dancing to PCD with the angels :D

I cant imagine how you are feeling right now Nat, but that quote is so true, you dont know what you have got till its gone, i suppose this is kinda a wake up call to never take life for granted because like you said it could be gone in a flash.
Im always here for you to talk to, just as you have been with me. At times like this all you can do is be there for each other and just remember the good times you had with Nathan. Surround yourself with good people and know that you have the support of so many people,

I'm attending college at the University of Oregon, but I really can't stand it because I come from a different culture in Los Angelos CA and am so used to different things than the other people in Oregon state. As a result, I haven't exactly made the most friends and get very lonely and depressed. But, I always tend to forget that I am at a really good school and am getting a good education, and I often take that for granted, and the reason why I take that for granted is because I don't even realise it most of the time. If you were to take me out of this school, I would be even worse off (despite of making no friends) because I would be missing out on a good education.
You never know what you have until its gone, but reading your blog hear actually made me realise what I have in my life that is great, like a good education. Thank you for this blog...
