Peas headline BBC underage gig

Black Eyed Peas headlined this year's BBC Switch Live gig at London's Hammersmith Apollo (8 November).

The afternoon event, exclusively for 14-17 year-olds, also saw performances from Alexandra Burke, N-Dubz and Pixie Lott.

JLS also played live as they celebrated their second number 1 single Everybody In Love.

4,000 teenagers watched as The Saturdays and Shaheen Jafargholi completed the line up at the event which was co-hosted by Girls Aloud's Kimberley Walsh, alongside Radio 1 DJs Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw.

Short set

Black Eyed Peas were backed by a laser light show and DJ played a set which included hits Boom Boom Pow and Meet Me Halfway.

The Los Angeles pop band later in the evening appeared on The X Factor.

Former X Factor winner Alexandra Burke played a short set which included chart topping songs Bad Boys and Hallelujah.

Other hightlights included a performance from Swansea's Shaheen Jafargholi, who sang a cover of Bill Withers' Lean On Me.

He left the event to complete his history homework as he's still attending school.

"It's a report on each of Henry's 6 wives," he explained.

Last year's event saw performances Fall Out Boy, McFly and Ne-Yo.
