DailyDips Episode 70: Love Cruz, Blindsided Again, Rihanna’s R Rating, Creative Control, A Legend Playing An Icon

Feature Film Friday

5.    Love Cruz

Canoodling alert! You would think the last place two international film stars would go is to the movies. Well Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem were spotted just the other night checking out a movie at the Mann Chinese 6 theaters in Hollywood.

4.    Blindsided Again

It’s strange this is third DD that we mentioned The Blindside. The drama is still drawing huge unexpected numbers at the box office. Sandra Bullock is getting rave reviews, which for her--is uncharted territory. That's the good news; the bad news, yesterday America's sweetheart and husband Jess James lost a battle...in a brusiing custody war. Seems James's 5yr. old daughter with ex wife and porn star will spend Christmas with mommy.

3.    Rhiannna's R Rating

Apparently dominating the music scene isn’t enough for Ri--Ri.

She allegedly told the London’s Daily Star she wants to make movies.

"I'd love to be an assassin. Either that or a lesbian. Maybe both! Hey, a gay assassin, there's nothing hotter than that... Megan Fox would play my girlfriend - hands down. She's yummy. "She's hot."

2.    Creative Control TV

Creative Control TV is a video showcase that brings togethera nmber of talened artists in the music community. It launched a couple of weeks ago that included a variety of super-dope artists. Peep this...

1.    A Legend playing an Icon!

Clint Eastwood's Invictus sounds like a drama that’s made for award season. Morgan Freeman is Nelson Mandela — that's like a legend playing an icon — The film is set during the stormy period just after Mandela was elected South Africa's president. It’s a sports drama that shows Mandela's attempt to unify the nation by turning its nearly all-white rugby team into World Champions.

Invictus is yet another movie that refracts black struggle through the eyes of a white hero — in this case, Matt Damon.
