New Music Tuesday
5. Not Just A Doll
One creative door closes…another door opens. Dipdive member, beautiful movements founder and now former pussycat doll kimberly wyatt talks about branching out on her own.
And here’s a sneek peek at her first musicial project.
We at the daily dips look forward to all the projects that kimberly "not just a doll" creates.
4. Beats, Rhymes & Life
A tribe called quest are pioneers in hip-hop and one of the hottest bands of the 90’s.
They’re also the subject of a new documentary directed by actor michael rapaport.
The documentary does not have a release date yet but it will definitely drop sometime this year.
3. My Prez is Green
Green for all is a national organization working to build an inclusive green economy strong enough to lift people out of poverty.
And they have a fresh way to get the message across.
Hip hop artist markese do dat bryant and green for all…are dedicated to improving the lives of all americans through a clean energy economy. Perfect.
2. Sexagenarian Rhythms
The amazing thing about music today is can walk into any club in the world and you never know who might be rocking the turntables.
In paris, there is a british granny who’s been making a name for herself in the french party scene with her musical mixes.
That’s dj ruth flowers, an elderly woman who got her start after attending her grandson’s birthday party and has since proven to be quite a hit.
1. I call it Rockjazz
Every once and a while an artist comes along who changes everything. E-lew aka eric lewis is that kind of artist. He stopped by the daily dip studios to chat created a new musical identity: elew…and a new musical genre: rock jazz. And it’s working.
